Browner Sound has a strong passion for community and the spirit of giving back. We have chosen to volunteer our time and equipment to provide professional music recordings for local artists and young musicians in middle and high schools. In 2021, we will be applying for The Knights Foundation Arts Challenge grant to help us provide a musical archiving of these recordings. If approved, the grant will match our collected funds, dollar for dollar. In the meantime, as the pandemic subsides we will continue to provide pro-bono services to public schools, local artists and our South Florida community. We will keep trying to do the most with the knowledge we have and give back to our local youth.
Here are some exciting scheduled events on the horizon for The Music Preservation Project in 2021:
- Creating a proposal for the City of Hialeah to professionally record and archive personal stories about the city and its inhabitant as told by residents of Hialeah
- Professional audio recording and mixing for Live Apparatus on Instagram
- Audio art installation at the Fairchild Botanical Gardens
- Not-for-profit DIY maker events to support the DIY community in South Florida
